Happy New Year 2026!!
Happy New Year 2026!!

Hello, friends, survivors, and future-seekers!

Andrei here.

If you are reading this, congratulations. You have successfully crossed the obstacle course that was 2025. If last year was a movie, it was likely an experimental genre-bender—part sci-fi thriller, part workplace comedy, and occasionally, a disaster flick involving an accidentally poured coffee over a terrifyingly important keyboard.

But the credits have rolled. The lights are up. It is time to walk out of the theater and step into the bright, blinding glare of 2026.

The Myth of the "New Normal"

Every year, experts tell us things are going to "settle down." They assure us a "new normal." I am here to tell you, with all the professional love in my heart, that the "new normal" is a myth. It is the Loch Ness Monster of the corporate world—everyone claims to have seen it, but it’s mostly just a log floating in murky water.

Disruption is not a bug in the system; it is the operating system.

In 2026, trying to stand still is like maintaining a yoga pose on a surfboard during a hurricane. You might look noble for three seconds, but you are going to get wet. The career ladder has been replaced by a career-climbing wall, and half the handholds are actually holograms generated by AI.

Don't Just Survive the unforeseen event—Write It

So, how do we handle this? Do we panic? Do we hide under our desks with a stash of granola bars and a printed copy of our CV from 2019?

No. We welcome the disorder.

My Philosophy for 2026: Stop trying to build a citadel against change. Instead, build a windmill. When the winds of disruption blow (and they will blow hard this year), don't board up your windows—use that energy to power your next big move.

Here is what I wish for you in the coming year:

  • May your Adaptability Quotient (AQ) be higher than your caffeine intake. Intelligence is great, but in 2026, the ability to unlearn bad habits and relearn new tricks is the true superpower. Be the person who sees a software update and says, "Ooh, new buttons," not "Why does the universe hate me?"

  • May you pivot with the elegance of a ballerina, not a rusty shopping cart. We used to call it "indecision." Now we call it "agile career navigation." If a door closes, look for a window. If the window is locked, look for the airflow channel. Be the Bruce Willis of your own career narrative (but with better shoes).

  • May you befriend the bots. AI isn't coming for your job; it’s coming for the boring parts of your job. Let the robots handle the spreadsheets while you handle the human stuff—empathy, strategy, and deciding which pizza topping to order for the team lunch.

A Final Wish for the Road Ahead

2026 is going to be loud. It’s going to be fast. It’s going to require you to wear hats you didn’t know you owned.

My wish is that you don't just endure the disruption, but that you find the rhythm within it. Dance with the uncertainty. Smile at the ridiculousness of corporate buzzwords. And remember despite technology changes every nanosecond, your value as a creative, resilient human being is the one asset that never depreciates.

Here is to a year of breaking things, fixing them better, and expanding your horizons until they scare you just a little bit.

Happy New Year, 2026! Let’s make it legendary.

Cheers to you,

Andrei
